Hi there, I am Iris Kathleen Cabanero, you can call me Iris for short. I am 42 years old and a graduate of Bachelor of science in Business administration at the University of San Carlos. I was previously connected with WIPRO, as a provider service advocate under the account of United Health Care, I was there for 3 years and 10 months. I was part of the Strategic Account Services team wherein our task is to gather and retrieve medical records in order to escalate claims for urgent processing. Aside from that I also assist providers who inquire about their patients' medical coverage, check claim status and submit Prior authorization request. My last 2 years with them I was deploy to work from home, with that I learned how to strive to work independently, as I don’t have my supports behind me to easily rely on. I became more self reliant and resourceful. It was then I appreciate the set up of working from home, it saves time, money and energy. I was also able to balance my personal life with my work. Although I don’t have any experience yet, as a virtual assistant, but my years of experience in the BPO industry, has taught me on how it is to work with a foreign client. I truly understand their culture and work ethics, that time is very important without sacrificing the quality of output. Working in the BPO industry has taught me how to be more keen to details and has develop me on how to be an analytical thinker, to also think outside the box and not just rely on what was taught during the training. I am self-reliant, patient and can easily adapt to change. I am also willing to undergo further training to develop additional skills for me to perform the job as a virtual assistant.
